A family-owned industrial group with international reach

The LEMAN INDUSTRIE group is coordinated around a multi-sectoral development strategy.

Foundation

In 1971, ENPH graduate Florent Bontaz founded LÉMAN Industrie, following acquisition of the company ROCHE (metal cutting). His sons, Philippe Bontaz (now the group’s MD) and Jean-Claude Bontaz joined the company in 1986 and 1990 respectively. Passionate about product solutions, they set themselves the objective of providing the optimal solution to every need in terms of parts and sub-assemblies. The 1990s saw the integration of expertise in moulding and plastic injection, complementing the traditional know-how in metal processing. Over the following decade, the group extended its technical capabilities to include metallo-plastic assembly and mechatronic solutions.

Development dynamics

LÉMAN Industrie’s development dynamics are reflected in its impressive industrial, economic and international growth. The continuous expansion of its know-how (engineering, cutting, injection, overmoulding, assembly, wiring), the huge increase in headcount (5 employees in 1971, 200 in 1992, 845 in 2016), the creation of subsidiaries (Tunisia in 2002, Romania in 2005, China in 2008, Morocco in 2014, EMT Industrie France and Hungary in 2018) reflect a solid and expertly managed industrial strategy.
